Assemblywoman Weinberg has long been a staunch supporter of a woman’s right to choose. She was a primary sponsor of a bill which would guarantee contraceptive equity for all women of New Jersey. This bill requires that insurers which provide outpatient prescription drug benefits as well as the State Health Benefits Program to cover costs of prescription female contraceptives. She also serves on the Health and Human Services Committee and the Family, Women, and Children’s Services Committee as a strong voice for the pro-choice community.
